DEFEND role: Work Package Leader for WP1

Carola Sauter-Louis is the deputy head of the institute of epidemiology. She is a veterinarian and epidemiologist who has been working in the field of epidemiology for the past 20 years.

Dr Sauter-Louis has a PhD in epidemiology from Massey University, New Zealand. After her PhD she worked in the UK on different projects, before starting at the University of Munich, where she taught epidemiology and supervised many projects, mainly on cattle health, but also in epidemiological studies in small animals and pig health.
