The aim of this work package is to develop risk assessments, taking factors into account that might play a role in the emergence of lumpy skin disease (LSD) or African swine fever (ASF) in Europe.
The first task will be to carry out a detailed literature review on LSD and ASF to identify different pathways for the introduction of these diseases into a country or into a new region.
In further tasks, data from affected countries of LSD and ASF will be collected and risk factors for the introduction into new areas and regions identified. These risk factors will be considered in the risk assessments.
